However, theatre has been lifelong passion for Alex, who eventually managed to move from watching theatre to being actively involved, completing an acting foundation course with the renowned Questors Theatre in 2007.

Alex has explored many styles of theatre on stage, from Shakespeare to Berkoff, whilst also working with directors of newly devised plays with a particular interest in physical theatre.

In this capacity Alex also became a member of the Artistic Directors Team, responsible for choosing plays and shaping the season of around 20 productions each year.

In 2022 Alex resurrected the Questors Festival of New Writing, which ran for a week showing casing eight new works performed in rep alongside a number of workshops. The objective of the festival was threefold, to bring in new audiences, encourage audiences to make several trips in a single week and prove there is an audience for new theatre. Overall, the festival encouraged multiple visits from around 300 individuals many who’d never visited the theatre before, the festival achieved its objectives.

Since moving to Selsey in 2022 Alex has continued to indulge her passion for theatre, becoming actively involved in local artistic events as well as visiting The Chichester Festival Theatre regularly.
